The suction and discharge lines of the Horizontal booster pumps shall be configured in accordance with the following provisions:
① All the pipelines connected with the pump should have independent and firm support to reduce the vibration of the pipeline and prevent the weight of the pipeline from pressing on the pump.
② The diameter of the suction and discharge pipeline should not be less than the inlet and outlet diameter of the pump.
③ The suction pipe should be short and the elbow should be reduced.
(4) When the variable diameter pipe is used, the length of the variable diameter pipe should not be less than 5-7 times the diameter difference between the size of the pipe.
⑤ There should be no place to store gas in the suction pipe (Figure 1-1). When the pump is installed above the suction liquid level, no part of the suction line should be higher than the inlet of the pump. The horizontal straight pipe section should have a slope (high at the entrance of the pump), and should not be less than 5/1000-20/1000.
⑥ The high temperature pipeline should be set up expansion joint to prevent the force generated by thermal expansion from acting completely on the pump.
The process and maintenance of the valve should be set as required.
⑧ When two or more pumps are connected in parallel, check valves should be installed at the outlet of each pump.
2) The pipeline configuration of centrifugal pump should meet the following requirements:
① Suction line:
a. The length of the straight pipe section before the pump inlet should not be less than 3 times the inlet diameter D (Figure 1-2).
