Self-priming pumps achieve automatic air venting and water intake through their unique internal structure (such as the gas-liquid separation chamber). Before the first start-up, a small amount of liquid is injected into the pump. As the impeller rotates, a vacuum is formed, which separates the air in the inlet pipe from the liquid and discharges it, thus continuously pumping the liquid. The self-priming height of these pumps can typically reach 8 meters.
